Custom eLearning Development
Custom courses that change what people do on the job, not just what they complete. Yours to keep, source files and all.
Completion is easy. Application is the point.
Most eLearning gets completed. Ours gets applied. Gartner finds close to half of all training is never used on the job. Learners pass the quiz, tick the box, and Monday looks exactly like Friday.
Figures: Gartner/CEB and Brinkerhoff research on workplace "scrap learning".
of training delivered is never applied on the job. That is the default we refuse to accept.
is the real test. Not the completion report, but whether the job is done differently the next working day.
What We Build
Every course starts from one question: what should someone do differently afterwards? Onboarding, compliance, certifications, simulations. One test each: does the person do the job better?
- Interactive drag-and-drop scenarios
- Branching storylines with real-world consequences
- Spaced repetition and knowledge checks
- Mobile-responsive design
- Full SCORM and xAPI integration
Merrill's First Principles of Instruction
Every project is grounded in evidence-based design, not guesswork.
Performance-First Design
Problem-centred. Real tasks, not abstractions.
Activation. Start from what learners already know.
Demonstration. Show what good actually looks like.
Application. They practise it, with real feedback.
Integration. It transfers to the actual job.
Discovery to deployment, with you in the room
Needs analysis
The real gap, not the graphics.
Instructional design
Objectives set, every interaction storyboarded.
Visual design
Custom animation where it earns its place.
Development
Storyline, Rise, Captivate or custom HTML5.
Quality assurance
Tested on your actual LMS before go-live.
Deployment
Config, SCORM testing, integration, go-live.
We build the measurement in, not on
Finishing a course proves nothing changed. We agree what "working" looks like on the job, then build the evidence for it into the course, rising through Kirkpatrick's levels.
Did they learn it?
Scored decisions, not recall quizzes.
Level 2Are they using it?
xAPI tracks the on-the-job actions that matter. The level most vendors skip.
Level 3Did it move the number?
Fewer errors, faster ramp, cleaner audits, tied to the metric that triggered it.
Level 4The honest caveat: we can only measure what your systems expose. So we agree the signals on day one. How we measure at Levels 3 and 4.
What a custom course actually takes
Most agencies keep this vague. We would rather you understand it. Five things move the price of any custom project:
Chapman Alliance & ATD benchmarks. When a quote lands far below everyone else, ask what got removed.
Senior craft, without the western agency rate.
A studio in India, shipping courses at national scale. The people who scope your project are the ones who build it, no hand-off to a junior bench once you sign.
Every project includes
When custom is the wrong choice
A studio that will not tell you when to save your money is just selling. So here is the honest version.
Build custom when
- The behaviour is specific to your product, process or policy.
- The stakes are real: safety, compliance, revenue, reputation.
- You need your brand, your context, your scenarios, your LMS.
- The content will live for years, so owning the source pays off.
Go off-the-shelf when
- It is generic and commoditised: standard compliance, basic how-tos.
- You need it live in days, not weeks.
- Budget is tight and the topic does not warrant a bespoke build.
- It changes so often that a quick, rough refresh beats polish.
In the right-hand column? We will say so on the first call. We would rather earn the work worth building.
Industries we serve
A few of the sectors we have gone deepest in. Where we can name the work, we have.
The tools behind the craft
Authoring, animation and post-production under one roof. Output runs on 40+ LMS platforms.
Work we can point to
Three projects we can talk about in real detail. Every number here is real.

What does custom eLearning development include?
Custom eLearning covers everything from bite-sized microlearning modules to full certification programmes. We handle instructional design, storyboarding, visual design, 2D and 3D animation, voiceover, interactivity, and SCORM/xAPI packaging, all under one roof.
How long does a typical custom eLearning project take?
A 30-minute module typically takes 6 to 8 weeks from kickoff to final delivery. Timelines depend on content complexity, number of revisions, and whether you need gamification or simulations. We provide a detailed timeline during our free consultation.
What authoring tools do you use?
We work with Articulate Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, and custom HTML5. The choice depends on your LMS requirements and interactivity needs. All outputs are SCORM or xAPI compliant.
Can you convert our existing classroom training to eLearning?
Yes, ILT-to-eLearning conversion is one of our core services. We redesign instructor-led content for self-paced digital delivery while preserving learning outcomes and adding interactivity.
Do you support multiple languages?
Absolutely. Our multilingual localisation service covers translation, cultural adaptation, RTL language support, and re-recording of voiceovers, so your training works globally.
How much does a custom course cost?
It depends on five things: seat time, interactivity level, animation and media, number of languages, and scope. Rather than a misleading one-size price, we scope your project and give you a clear quote on the first call. What we can promise is value: senior instructional design and animation from a specialist studio in India, at a cost base western agencies cannot match.
Do we own the course and the source files?
Yes, fully. You receive the editable source files (Storyline, Rise, After Effects) and complete IP ownership of the finished course. There is no licence to renew and no lock-in. You can update the content in-house whenever you like.
How many revisions are included?
Two structured review rounds per milestone, at storyboard, alpha and beta. That is enough to get the course right without the endless re-opening of signed-off work that quietly wrecks timelines and budgets. Anything beyond agreed scope is handled as a transparent change request.
